Information For Foreign Certificate Holders
In New Zealand the law requires you to hold a parachutist certificate issued by the Parachute Organisation that the Drop Zone you are jumping at is operating under. This may be different to the situation from outside New Zealand and as such may be somewhat confusing.
The majority of Drop Zones in New Zealand choose to operate under the NZPIA procedures and as such by applying and having a NZPIA parachutist Certificate issued you will be able to skydive at most of the Drop Zones throughout New Zealand.
To apply for either a temporary or a full NZPIA Parachutist Certificate you will first need to decide which option is best for you.
Temporary Parachutist Certificate – this is for holders of specific overseas parachute certificates and is intended for those experienced parachutists that intend to be in New Zealand for a limited time, wanting to participate in events, boogies or on a skydiving holiday.
